LAZY MORNING

toothbrush is not cleaning
its bristles and the toothpaste
is not in the mood for the mint
in the gel,

water is too cold and the locks
of hair dislike wetting
the bed is still burning with fire
but doused with coughing

bones let go the sounds of cracking
roosters broke up with hens which
strut around with newly hatched
eggs

i am facing another morning's
blank screen and will not google.
