there is something wrong
along the way
it is the confidence that makes us
overlook
what others have seen as
detestable

we were looking for some stars
those that shine only for us
we have no time for the foxes and
the snakes and the scorpions
under our feet

they never bite
we are the masters
those are the stars that make us lose
what we are

it is only them that know the way
where we shall be gods.
