all i remember in those old days
about you was about this bohemian with nothing to hold her hair
some paintbrushes
a palette of oil paints
a portrait of yourself in your hand

just that
it was faint like dusk
faded like your Levis' jeans
sounds of rare
laughter

just like that
and then you were gone.
