there is no reason to be sad
others are merry making and living and loving
life
even, and to a certain disagreeable extent
of exploiting and manipulating the life of others

here you are
honest to yourself, making life slowly and gently
wooing nature
appreciating God's little graces
why still be sad? why still be silent? why still
be restless?

too much drifting, living on clouds, hanging yourself to
the indecision of air,
try sticking it out with the flesh and bones
of reality

land your feet to what is real and touchable
not to the invincible promises of a future that
may never come

live life dude. touch the river. walk the earth.
