well, at the start it was simply fun
a take it or leave it proposal
no bargains, no pleas, nothing
about haggling or talking but
only the whispering of a desire

then it was the acting part which
created the verbosity of the situation
the hands speak a lot, the lips are doing
the feeling and the arms and legs
taking the role of artists and acrobats

as a custom we come to the end part
curtains fall, pretensions close like doors
we go out, leave the dark room, and
the fading chatter, and we step out towards
a new direction

here i am, and you are there
we keep a pact: don't be that kiss and tell.
we didn't have love, we only played
our roles on that stage, we were not
our real selves, we are just acting
out lust and dreamy things.
