i talked to the wall
on those terrifying years

it was just me talking
just to make a sound
to lessen the fear

now i talk to the wall again
so that i can remember
how strong i was on those
past terrifying years

so that i can be whole again
so that i can be reminded again
on those terrifying years
when walls are better confidantes
than all friends combined.
